Position Summary

Responsible for all functions relating to developing customer relationships and matching IT solutions to customer needs. This individual will be selling to top level executives in enterprise accounts and cannot be afraid of competitive markets. You must excel at finding and closing new business by actively securing new business along all disciplines and product lines by developing and managing the sales pipeline, leading opportunity meetings with clients, and closing business as quickly as possible.

*Other duties as assigned.

1) Customer Service
  • Provide responsive customer service. Answer internal and external customer calls with high priority. Communicate in a friendly, professional and patient manner.
  • Perform all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Immediately address any customer concerns notifying appropriate management of action taken to resolve.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service understanding satisfaction and perception.

Measurement:

  • Positive feedback from internal and external customers and vendors
 
2) Daily Required Functions
  • Responsible for new customer acquisition, customer management, and maximizing account penetration
  • Develops and maintains strong customer business relationships throughout the entire buy cycle
  • Develop customer account sales plans and strategies
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from various sources
  • Consults with clients and determines the best solution for the identified business problems
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to develop and close sales
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Update CRM with prospective customer and sale information
  • Keep team informed of account plans based on changing market and customer conditions
  • Work with team to identify project and contract risk in order to negotiate favorable terms with customers
  • Attend and actively participate in company meetings
  • Prepares and delivers weekly sales reports as directed by manager
  • Participate in sales training to keep up-to-date with initiatives for emerging markets
  • Keep current on changes in service offerings based on emerging technologies in the industry
  • Identify and actively participate in trade organizations, community groups, customer related events, or local Chamber of Commerce to position ECS + My IT’s capabilities and strengthen or promote the professional services we provide. This may require weekends, overnight, and after hours trips
  • Works together with other departments and vendors to develop business relevant solutions for clients.
  • Investigates and drives resolution to customer service delivery issues

  • New customers acquired
  • Sales goals and profit margins met
  • Positive customer testimonials
 
3) Paperwork Processing
  • Document work by updating ConnectWise customer files including all contact information and contracts signed.
  • Turn in receipts daily
  • Submit expense reports, if applicable on a weekly basis
  • Submit time sheets weekly by Saturday at noon

Measurement:

  • System work flow report
  • Document processes created
  • Accounting feedback of missing receipts or documents required for expense reports and payroll.
 
4) Billing Requirements
  • Responsible for entering time, expense, and configuration information in ConnectWise on a daily basis prior to 12:00 a.m.

Measurement:

  • Utilization reports (time and rate review)
  • Personal contact required after missing deadlines.
 
5) Communication
  • Communicate customer need to the appropriate manager
  • Utilize actively listening and customer-care skills in identifying potential concerns
  • Report customer concerns or complaints to account managers
  • Answer internal and external communications timely and professionally

Measurement:

  • Feedback from customer
  • Feedback from persons responsible
 
6) Teamwork
  • Demonstrate and promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the Company
  • Provide backup support for other teams and team members as needed
  • Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively
  • Improve personal performance on a continual basis
 
7) Safety
  • Use safe work practices in the office and promote safe practices in the field
  • Notify Service Manager or other management of any unsafe conditions
 
8) Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities
 
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education / Experience

An Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred AND three plus years of solution selling to enterprise clients in technology or telecommunications sectors, balance of hunting vs. farming accounts, presenting to line-of-business managers, directors to C-Level executives; OR five plus years of solutions selling to enterprise clients in technology or telecommunications sectors, balance of hunting vs. farming accounts, presenting to line-of-business managers, directors to C-Level executives is required. Proven track record of selling into Healthcare, Energy, Financial, Legal, Education and Parish/State Government and prior sales and/or technical certifications are highly desirable.

 
Language Skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally
  • Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Maintain Sales Certifications as required
 
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone
  • Frequently is required to walk and sit
  • Moderately required to stand
  • Occasionally needs to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Travels locally as required.
 
Work Environment

This position works in a typical office environment. Occasionally works in a warehouse or plant environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally higher if in a plant environment.

  • Do not discuss company prices or terms of sale unless with customer in act of performing job

  • May not divulge proprietary information regarding customer’s business

  • May not make changes in his/her Job Description, Standards of Performance or quarterly objectives without consultation with manager
